About the Role Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator & Dispatcher to manage and streamline transportation operations from a remote location. This position is critical for ensuring the efficient movement of goods, coordinating with drivers, and optimizing delivery schedules without being physically present in a central office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of logistics software and dispatch systems, and the ability to manage complex scheduling challenges independently. You will be the central point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and problem resolution. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch drivers for various transportation needs, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Manage and monitor driver schedules, routes, and delivery progress using advanced logistics software. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing them with route information, updates, and support. Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery status, potential delays, and any issues that may arise. Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, such as traffic delays, vehicle issues, or changes in delivery requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispatch activities, driver logs, and delivery confirmations in the system. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, customer service) to ensure smooth coordination of transportation services. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch and delivery efficiency, reporting on findings. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. Utilize communication tools (phone, email, chat) to manage a high volume of interactions efficiently. Troubleshoot and problem-solve operational issues remotely, providing timely solutions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatch processes and systems. Requirements Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatching, or a similar transportation-focused role. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask effectively in a remote setting. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace. Experience with route optimization and planning is highly desirable. Familiarity with different types of commercial vehicles and transportation modes. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Must be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using various digital communication and collaboration tools.
